Vacation Villas at Fantasy World

It’s known as Orlando’s most bizarre attraction: Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is a 10,000-square-foot “Odditorium” that looks like it’s falling into a Florida sinkhole. But it’s a perfectly safe, great place for the whole family to visit while you’re staying in the vacation villas at Fantasy World.

The newly-renovated Orlando museum consists of 16 unique galleries that include hundreds of unbelievable exhibits that range from merely unusual to totally weird and even absolutely creepy, such as:

• An actual shrunken human head

• A seven-legged sheep

• A portrait of singer Beyonce made entirely from candy

• A 25-foot high mural of Jimi Hendrix made from more than 8,500 playing cards

• A balloon-powered chair that flew over the Rocky Mountains

• A shooting gallery where you can take aim and fire at different odd targets

• A Peel Trident car (the smallest production car in the world)

• A fossil of a T-Rex foot and lower leg

• Optical illusions, word puzzles and brain teasers

• Multiple miniatures that you can view through powerful magnifying glasses

• Wax figures that you can take pictures of and with

Ripley’s is easily accessible from the vacation villas at Fantasy World. It’s located on International Dr. and is open from 9 a.m. to midnight, 365 days a year, with free parking. Plan to allow 1 – 1.5 hours for your self-guided, self-paced tour. While most of the museum’s exhibits are permanent, they do host some traveling exhibits. Bring your camera and plan to take plenty of pictures.
