What Are the Must-Try Foods at Disney World

Baked pretzel
If you haven’t been to the Disney World theme parks, you will be surprised at the high quality of food available throughout the parks. As well as plenty of kid-friendly choices, adults will find an impressive selection of foods to appeal to the more sophisticated palate. Vacation rentals near Orlando, such as Fantasy World, feature their own kitchen, but when you’re at the parks, here are some of the must-try foods.

Epcot’s international pavilions are a great place to try foods from around the world. From British fish and chips to Mexican churros, you’ll find some top notch dishes sure to appeal to the whole family. Stop by the German pavilion for fresh pretzels and enjoy a Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen at Sommerfest. The Norwegian pavilion is another must-visit, particularly Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. Foodies rave over their salmon-and-egg open-faced sandwich with goat cheese spread, and you can finish off the meal with one of their sweet treats that includes the Troll Horn or the Fresh Berry Cream Puff.

Sleepy Hollow at the Magic Kingdom is another spot to find some absolute must-try dishes that park-goers rave about. Chicken and waffles reaches new levels with the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich. Boneless fried chicken is stuffed into a folded, round waffle topped with coleslaw. If you haven’t had your fill of waffles, try the Fruit and Nutella Waffle sandwich. This open-faced waffle is spread with rich Nutella and topped with a mix of fresh fruits, such as strawberries, bananas, and blackberries.

The Pineapple Float at Aloha Isle is the perfect treat for a warm day in the Florida sun. This refreshing mixture of pineapple juice and pineapple ice cream is available in only two places in the world: the Dole Whip factory in Hawaii and Aloha Isle. However, with its massive popularity, you can now also get it at the Pineapple Lanai in the Polynesian Resort. Just be prepared for long lines, no matter where you get this Disney favorite.

For a pricier splurge, consider dining one evening at California Grill, where they are masters of pork belly, with Pork Belly Nigiri, along with Braised Pork Belly and Goat Cheese Polenta. And for the final splurge, head to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort and order the Kitchen Sink. This mammoth sundae comes with five types of ice cream and literally every topping they have in the shop. This is definitely one to share!

Choosing Fantasy World, one of the vacation rentals near Orlando, gives you the convenience and savings of cooking some of your own meals. This means you can feel free to really enjoy some of the must-try foods at the Disney World theme parks. With all that they have to offer, you’ll want to plan your dining as carefully as your rides.
