Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with Kids

It’s time once again for the Magic Kingdom’s monster mash of a bash, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This separately ticketed event comes out on selected nights from August 11 to November 1, 2023. While some kids may be extra sensitive to the spooky, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is designed to be more friendly than frightening, but you’ll still find some fun thrills.This unique Halloween party takes place after park hours, thus the separate ticket, but it offers five hours of slightly spooky shows, treats, and more for the whole family to enjoy. Guests with party tickets can enter the park as early as 4 pm, which offers extra time to enjoy some of the regular rides and attractions.If you’re already in the park with a regular ticket and also have a party ticket, go pick up a special wristband at one of the distribution locations between 4 and 7 pm.

With very young children, you may want to visit the park on one day and attend the party on a second day when the kids have had time to rest and will have the energy to stay up later and enjoy the festivities. The 4 pm entrance gives you some time to do anything you didn’t manage to squeeze in previously. If you do come later in the day, head to Market Street, located between La Chapeau and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, where you can pick up your own small reusable bags perfect for trick-or-treating, as well as other special merchandise

Once the festivities start, you’ll find an array of entertainment for all. There are unique Halloween characters and plenty of treat stops where you can use your treat bag. Plus there are many specialty foods and drinks available. As always, you’ll find plenty of photo opportunities including special 3D photo backdrops, and Halloween-specific entertainment such as the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular stage show, Mickey’s Boo-To-You parade and of course there will be Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, which are hosted by Jack Skellington and include special projections and lasers, as well as the magnificent fireworks.

Whether you spend the whole day and evening there or come in later, be sure to pick up one of the specific Party Maps, which highlight the major activities, points out trick-or-treat locations, and much more. There’s even a list for allergy-friendly options, so everyone can join in the fun.
