Celebrate Father’s Day in Orlando

Father’s Day is fast approaching on June 18, 2023. If you’re staying at one of our spacious villas in Kissimmee and want to find some fun ways to celebrate Dad on his special day, here are some fun and affordable options in and around Orlando.

• Harry P. Leu Gardens are truly stunning and a wonderful and relaxing place to visit any time of year. Fortunately, on Father’s Day, dads get in free from 9 am to 5 pm. Regular admission otherwise is $15 for adults and $10 for kids. This is more than just pretty scenery. You’ll get to enjoy the winding pathways that take you through the butterfly garden, rose garden and tropical stream garden, as well as the dinosaurs! The amazing outdoor exhibit of prehistoric creatures features more than 20 life-size dinosaurs ranging in size from 14 inches to a massive 33 ft.
• The Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour is a wonderful way to explore the charming waterways that run through this beautiful city that is known for its spectacular homes, lush landscapes, stately trees, abundant parks, brick-lined streets, museums, vibrant lakes and fine shops along Park Avenue, giving you lots to enjoy during and after your boat tour.
• Open Friday through Sunday, you can take the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and see native animals in their natural habitat, all from the comfort of your own car. This 11-mile drive is free and includes an audio tour online.
• A fun adventure for the whole family is a ride on one of the airboats through Florida wetlands. The Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures can reach speeds up to 50 mph, but they also slow down to let you take in the native wildlife and scenery.
• If dad enjoys craft beers, then plan a visit to Crooked Can Brewery at Plant Street Market. Reserve online to take a tour of the brewery for just $5 for added fun.
