2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival

Spring is in the air and that means one thing: it’s time for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival! This perennial favorite celebrates nature, discovery, international beauty, and, as always, the magic of Disney. To make the most of this favorite festival, be sure to make your reservations at FantasyWorld, one of the leading resorts in Kissimmee FL, ideally located to let you visit EPCOT and all of the popular theme parks.

Along with Disney World celebrating its 50th anniversary, EPCOT has been undergoing some updates, as well, and some of these will be on display during your visit. As part of the updated park and part of the Flower and Garden Festival, you’ll find nearly 100 topiaries that include plenty of favorite Disney characters, garden spaces that will wow you, and fascinating and fun exhibits throughout. It all starts with a new main entrance display featuring Goofy with a special birthday cake celebrating the Disney World 50th Anniversary.

Other outstanding topiaries include returning favorites, such as Lumiere and Cogsworth topiaries in the France pavilion; the Troll in the Norway pavilion; Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tick Tock Croc between United Kingdom and Canada pavilions; and Pumbaa and Timon near Imagination. These returning topiary favorites are also welcoming new topiaries, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs near the Germany Pavilion. You’ll be whistling while you wander around the World Showcase!

There’s much more than topiaries, of course. This year, there are some other new additions to complement existing favorites. One of the new features is Blossoms of Fragrance Presented by Scentsy, where you are surrounded by vibrant butterfly topiaries and you can take in six scent stations – floral, fruity, citrus, spice, woods and fresh – helping you form lasting memories with the help of these alluring aromas.

Speaking of butterflies, if you want to see the real thing, don’t miss Bambi’s Butterfly House. Here, you will view a kaleidoscope of butterflies up close, all while learning about their life cycles and observing their amazing colors and beauty.

In the newly expanded France pavilion, there’s also the France Bouquet Garden, featuring beautiful blooms that are stunning on their own, but would be just as wonderful in a thoughtfully arranged bouquet of flowers. Don’t miss the topiary of Chef Remy while you’re there.

Music fans will be thrilled to know that the Garden Rocks Concert Series is back! As always, you’ll find internationally recognized artists performing on the America Gardens Theatre stage Friday through Monday, and local bands getting their chance to rock the stage Tuesday through Thursday. Among the acts in the outstanding lineup are Don McLean of “American Pie” fame, contemporary Christian band MercyMe, genre-crossing WAR, Latin hitmakers Melina Leon and Claudia Leitte, and rock powerhouse Daughtry. There’s also the option of the Garden Rocks Dining Package on Friday through Monday, offering a great dinner before the concert. Be sure to book your separate reservations!

This may be a garden festival, but you know there’s always food and shopping to be enjoyed at these festivals. With almost 20 Outdoor Kitchens showcasing spring’s bounty, you’ll find plenty of main dishes, desserts, and drinks. This year you’ll have the chance to savor more than 50 brand-new offerings. For example, EPCOT Farmers Feast features a rotating seasonal menu that will change three times throughout the festival. There are numerous others to enjoy, as well.

There’s a wide variety of shopping with items special to the festival, featuring Mickey and Minnie, of course, but also Orange Bird and Figment, among others, with everything from homegoods to fun shirts and much more.

Finally, as always, there’s a treasure hunt of sorts. The Garden Graze is a food stroll highlighting five sweet and savory offerings in the Festival Passport. When you complete the graze, you’ll receive a special prize. In addition, Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is a scavenger hunt for kids of all ages. Simply purchase a map and stickers at select merchandise locations (available while supplies last) and complete it to receive a special prize.

The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is a fantastic experience for the whole family, so don’t miss out. Book your reservations for EPCOT and for FantasyWorld, one of the fun and exciting resorts in Kissimmee FL where you’ll find almost as much to do at the resort as you will at the festival and the theme parks, with the bonus of spacious villas so that everyone can feel at home.
