Tips on Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Whether you’re a gardening enthusiast looking for inspiration or just someone who appreciates flora from around the world, Epcot’s International Flower & Garden show is a beautiful event. Take your time wandering around the national pavilions and let the wonder of nature help you relax and appreciate the colors and arrangements. You’ll have beautifully scented dreams when you return to your Kissimmee vacation villas at the end of the day.

The International Flower & Garden Festival runs through May 28 and is included in the regular park admission. In its 25th year, this festival combines stunning floral displays, delicious food, an outdoor concert series and much more.

One of the biggest attractions is the variety of Disney-themed topiaries. There are truly amazing displays of beloved characters to appeal to all ages. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Winnie the Pooh and friends, Lady and the Tramp, Simba and friends, Buzz Lightyear, Bromeliad Dragon, Beauty and the Beast, and Anna and Elsa are just a few of the many amazing topiaries. The Three Caballeros, set up near Mexico, have particularly caught a lot of people’s attention and definitely shouldn’t be missed.

Also in the Mexican pavilion, be sure to take in the tropical rainforest garden, which includes some spectacular orchids. China features a fantastic bamboo garden in pots, with displays of bamboo in a variety of colors, patterns, and sizes. You’ll find flora and fauna at many of the exhibits, including the Goodness Garden Butterfly House, where you’ll get to see a kaleidoscope of butterflies, learn about their life cycle and even see some species up close. There’s also the Imagination Play Garden near Imagination Walkway, where kids of all ages can explore a play garden that is filled with sounds, climbers, and other interactive elements.

Of course, there are also plenty of dining options. The latest outdoor kitchen is the Honey Bee-stro, which offers up unusual items that are both healthy and delicious. There are also dining options in some of the different lands, including Italy, where you can see the herbs and other ingredients growing that go into a delicious Italian meal. Individual food standouts include  the sloppy but delicious beef brisket burnt ends and smoked pork belly slider at Smokehouse, and the griddled maple pound cake with warm peach compote and sweet corn gelato at the Northern Bloom kitchen.

From the Shakespeare Garden to the Garden Rocks outdoor concert series featuring acts like Smash Mouth, Blood, Sweat and Tears, the Village People, and The Guess Who, there’s plenty to entertain every visitor. Book your Kissimmee vacation villas at Fantasy World and get your tickets for this fun floral adventure.
