There’s no shortage of attractions, rides, and shows at the many theme parks in Orlando. Even the resorts in Kissimmee FL, such as Fantasy World, offer water park rides, games, and more to keep the whole family entertained. However, if you’re planning a trip to Florida this year, you might be interested in checking out some of the new attractions that will be opening throughout the year at various parks.

Fans of the mega movie franchise, Fast and Furious, will be excited to try the thrill ride based on the series. Offering tricked-out cars and wild chases, Fast & Furious — Supercharged opens this spring at Universal Studios.

Over at SeaWorld Orlando, there are more thrills to be had with Infinity Falls. This river-raft ride features some modern twists with scientific-looking vehicles, a 40-foot drop, and an unusual vertical lift to hoist the vehicles. River rides are taking on a whole new feel this spring.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is adding a new show to the Caravan Theater this spring, based on the animated film, Up. Russell and Dug the Dog will be presenting a show involving various bird species.

Finally, this summer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be expanding Toy Story Land. Along with Toy Story Mania, there will be a spinning ride named Alien Swirling Saucers, a roller coaster called Slinky Dog Dash, and as a reward for all of those wild rides, a new eatery called Woody’s Lunch Box.

While the specific dates aren’t available yet, you can plan your trip for late spring or summer when most of the new additions should be open.
