See Orlando from Orlando Eye

vacation villas in Kissimmee
Whether you’re making your first trip to Orlando or you’re a regular visitor at vacation villas in Kissimmee, you’ll want to check out the area’s newest attraction opening in May 2015: The Orlando Eye.

Relax in a fully-enclosed, air conditioned capsule attached to a 400-foot tall observation wheel that offers breathtaking views of Central Florida in all directions. You can see the ever-changing skyline of downtown Orlando, the theme parks, lakes and natural Florida terrain, and even views of Cape Canaveral on a clear day.

The experience lasts 30 minutes; the memory will last a lifetime. In addition to air conditioning, the passenger capsules, which weigh approximately 6,600 pounds each, include a bench seat, lighting and audio effects. The Orlando Eye is the tallest observation wheel on the east coast.

Facilities are designed to be full accessible to guests with disabilities. Be aware that the 4D Cinema Experience show includes lights, wind, sound, water and smells.

To assure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone, all guests are asked to comply with security procedures. Though you’ll want to take plenty of pictures, tripods are not permitted in the capsules.

This attraction is part of I-Drive 360, which is conveniently accessible from vacation villas in Kissimmee. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to midnight. There are a number of ticket packages for The Orlando Eye, as well as combinations to allow you to visit nearby attractions. Children under 3 ride the Eye for free. There are plenty of restaurants, live entertainment, and shopping in the complex and nearby. No charge for parking.
