The master-planned community is obviously a success as Forbes Magazine named it one of America’s ten prettiest towns.

The popular downtown area is compact and easily walkable. There’s even a self-guided architectural walking tour of downtown that explains the stories behind the town’s most architecturally interesting buildings including the Sun Trust Bank and the post office. You can also explore Celebration by bikes that can be rented from Celebration Bike Rental. You’ll get a bicycle, map, and a bottle of water before you head out to explore the lakefront nature trails with 8- and 10-mile tours where you’re likely to see some wildlife. Market Street is the main shopping promenade, but you’ll find a great range of shops throughout downtown. Market Street Gallery is a popular spot as it offers a range of items, including home decor, jewelry, and even a year-round Christmas room.
Celebration’s downtown structures were designed to encourage people to congregate and build a sense of community. One hugely popular spot is the Lakeside Promenade Fountain by Lake Rianhard. The fountain is interactive with three rings of water jets where kids – and kids at heart – are welcome to play. There are also benches surrounded by palm trees where you can sit and watch the fun.
