Top Golf Courses in Kissimmee

Theme parks are the obvious destinations for trips to Central Florida, but there’s so much more on offer in the area. Beaches, parks, historic sites, zoos, activity centers and more abound, ensuring everyone finds something fun to do. Of course, thanks to Florida’s famous sunshine, there are also numerous golf courses throughout the state. Best of all, there are a number of great ones right in Kissimmee, so if you’ve booked one of the FantasyWorld vacation villas in Kissimmee FL, be sure to check out the many options for a great game of golf while you’re here.

It helps to know that some of the world’s top golf players designed the courses here, including Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Arnold Palmer, Rees Jones, and Tom Watson. Many pros live in Florida, so it’s no surprise that you’ll find pro-designed courses here. As if that weren’t enough of an attraction, you get the stunning beauty of the courses here, with rolling hills, tall pines, and the occasional animal to make things even more interesting.

Father and son duo, Robert Trent Jones Senior and Junior designed the Celebration Golf Club course, with an aim of making every hole a hard par and an easy bogey. Golfers have been enjoying this course for more than 20 years, thanks to it being challenging yet always fun. You’ll find more of the beautiful Florida vegetation and pines along the course, and perhaps a few critters, but you’ll also find the Celebration Golf Academy where anyone can get hands-on experience from professionals to help improve your game. There’s even a course for beginners, with the PGA Magazine’s Junior-Friendly course. With the variety of courses, the whole family is welcome.

ChampionsGate Golf Club has two golf courses and a total of 36 holes to play amid wetlands, woodlands, and old orange groves. The National Course features 200 acres of stunning landscape and sweeping fairways. Yet this isn’t an easy stroll. Greg Norman, who designed the course, made sure to include sand and water hazards to keep things challenging. For an even greater challenge, there’s the International Course, an 18-hole, par 72 course with fast greens and plenty of thrills. At the end of an adventurous day of golf, you can also relax and enjoy the resort’s lazy river and full-service spa.

Another popular choice is the Falcon’s Fire Golf Club, with a Rees Jones masterpiece of a course. As well as being a short drive from FantasyWorld, this is a place where they tailor your experience to your personal expertise so you can get the most out of the visit. All golf carts are equipped with GPS navigation, so you always know just how far you need to swing to beat your competition. Plus, if you’re hardcore and travel with  your own clubs, they even offer club cleaning. To top it all off, they offer group and individual lessons with a PGA professional. You can easily spend a whole day here, enjoying everything on offer, including a fantastic clubhouse that overlooks the course, where you can enjoy some great food and drinks, including delicious cocktails.

Finally, if you want to try multiple courses designed by various professional golfers, all you have to do is go to Reunion Resort Golf Course. Each course has its own unique characteristics that provide options for golfers of all skill levels. The Jack Nicklaus course has tricky shots and big risks. The Arnold Palmer Course is a wild roller coaster of a course with lots of hilly terrain. Finally, the Tom Watson course is great for those looking for a short game who enjoy large, lush greens.

If any or all of these courses intrigue you, you should probably check out their websites in advance of your trip to check on fees and tee times so you can make sure you don’t miss out on a great day or more of golf while you’re staying at the FantasyWorld vacation villas in Kissimmee FL.
