Spooktastic Halloween Fun in Central Florida

There’s no stopping Halloween and you’ll find plenty of spooktacular events taking place this year throughout Central Florida. From theme parks to bogs, there’s something for everyone and every scare level to enjoy this Halloween season. Book one of the FantasyWorld vacation villas in Kissimmee FL for an excellent safe space from which to explore and delight in the best of the season’s frights!

Airboat rides are a thrill any time of year, but this year, Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures is hosting Scream ‘n’ Stream events on select dates through October 31. This variety of events includes a Haunted Drive where you drive through a live horror show, the Trick-N’-Treat Drive, which is a kid-friendly, socially-distanced candy collection, and, of course, Airboat Ghost Tours with spooky stories of ghosts and swamp creatures.

What’s Halloween without a haunted house! Mortem Manor in Old Town Kissimmee is sure to create plenty of shivers and screams, with ghouls, ghosts, witches, and more in every inch of this two-story manor of mayhem. Plus, it’s pitch black except for the frightlight you’re provided, so be careful, all ye who dare to enter! This one is definitely not for the faint of heart!

Fortunately, Old Town Kissimmee also has a drive-in theater where you can enjoy some Halloween movies that may be suitable for a younger crowd. Favorites like Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas are among the offerings, and it’s just $10 entrance per vehicle, so grab some snacks or prep some picnic food in your vacation villa’s full kitchen, and enjoy this faintly frightful film fest!

SeaWorld Orlando is also hosting a drive-in horror filmfest every weekend through October 31 as part of their Flicks & Frights event. From the comfort of your own vehicle, you can take in some more kid-friendly films like Casper and Frankenweenie, before the real gorefest films like A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Exorcist hit the screen.

Gators can cause a fright any time of the year, but when you combine them with ghosts and goblins at Gatorland’s Gators, Ghosts & Goblins event every weekend through November 1, they take on a whole new level of family friendly fearsomeness! Kids can show off their costumes in not-so-scary socially distanced parades, plus there will be a variety of kooky characters, a trick-or-treat trail, spooky train rides, live music, and delectable delights at Frank & Stein’s Octoberfest.

Of course, the theme parks are still putting on some Halloween fun, even if some favorites like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is postponed to next year. Disney has plenty of Halloween decor throughout the park, as well as fun PhotoPass Halloween Magic Shot locations, where unexpected guests may appear in your photos! There’re also plenty of pumpkin treats to enjoy and Halloween-themed souvenirs to enjoy.

Legoland is featuring Brick or Treat with Rockin’ Roadie Treats, the Cauldron of Candy, and Ghoulish Graveyard Sweets scattered throughout the park, along with spaced-out performances of The Groovin’ Graveyard and A Candy-Coated Curse running throughout the day.

Finally, it’s just not Halloween without some trick or treating. Universal’s Islands of Adventure has its own trick-or-treat option for kids to get free candy at special retail stores that feature pumpkin stickers. The whole family can dress up in costume, too!

These are just a few of the Halloween events taking place throughout Central Florida. FantasyWorld vacation villas in Kissimmee FL are ideally located to let you and your family enjoy all of the thrills, chills, and things that go bump in the night this Hallow’s Eve season. Plus, FantasyWorld Resort has its own Halloween Horrors tours and Kreepy Karnival for kids running all the way through November 14, to keep the frightful fun going, so make your reservation today!
