Halloween Walk the Lights
It’s time for the fifth annual Halloween Walk the Lights from Shimmering Lights Fall. This year’s pirate-themed event is fun for the whole family. Journey through interactive lights and displays celebrating the different aspects of the holiday season. The pirate theme will show up in a variety of ways as you take in the self-guided, 1/3-mile walking trail with hundreds of themed lighted displays, pixel animated props moving to the music, outdoor movies, a maze of lights, a scavenger hunt, games, and face painting. You can also enjoy light refreshments. This is a family-friendly event suitable for young and old. Plus, there’s even a FOAM play area on certain nights, so you may want to take a change of dry clothes so you can make the most of this sudsy good time!
You can walk the trail multiple times, as long as your energy is up, and you’re sure to take in new elements of the lights and films each time. Walk the Lights is open every Thursday through Sunday through October 29 and is open from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The trail isn’t paved, so wear comfy shoes and keep an eye out for any uneven terrain. Tickets are $8.00 in advance, $9.00 at the gate, and are required for anyone 3 years old and up. Children aged 2 and under get in free. Plus, parking is free.
