Five More Things to Do in Orlando with Kids

Kissimmee Florida resorts
Even the most die-hard fans of the Mouse may want to see a few other attractions while visiting Orlando. The numerous theme parks are a great source of entertainment, but they can get expensive and sometimes overwhelming for small kids. Fortunately, if you’re staying in one of the Kissimmee Florida resorts, you’re in a great position to visit a variety of Orlando attractions to keep the whole family entertained.

iFly Orlando
Kids often seem like mini daredevils, jumping off of all sorts of things. With iFly Orlando, children as young as three — and adults, too — can get the experience of free-falling without any of the danger that comes from jumping out of an airplane. This indoor skydiving experience is a thrill for the whole family.

K1 Speed Orlando
If you’ve got a budding race car driver on your hands — who is at least four feet tall — head to K1 Speed Orlando. This indoor karting center features electric go-karts that really give you some speed. Plus, as well as the two tracks to try out, there are plenty of other game lounges to enjoy. Best of all, it’s all indoors, which offers a nice break from the Florida heat.

Medieval Times
Little princes and princesses are sure to enjoy a visit to Medieval Times, where visitors to the Castle get to enjoy feasting and entertainment. Along with sword fights and jousting, there are falcon displays and equine shows of splendor throughout the event. It can get loud, though, so keep that in mind for sensitive kids.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium
As soon as you arrive, you know you’re in for something unusual at the Orlando location of Ripley’s, which looks like it’s falling into a sinkhole. Inside, you’ll find 16 themed galleries with 600 exhibits and artefacts that include everything from real shrunken heads to a spinning vortex tunnel. There are plenty of interactive elements to keep the kids entertained.

Wekiwa Springs State Park
If you want to relax, cool off, and enjoy some of Central Florida’s beautiful nature, head to Wekiwa Springs. There you can hike, bike, horseback ride, canoe, kayak, picnic, and so much more, as well as swim in the beautiful natural spring waters that are 72-degrees year-round.

These are just a handful of the many things to do in Orlando and the surrounding area while you’re visiting Central Florida. If you stay in a Kissimmee Florida resort like Fantasy World, you can also enjoy their many activities on offer, as well as the on-site water park. No matter where you look, there’s fun for the whole family.
