1-Day Magic Kingdom Itinerary

When planning any visit to Central Florida, start by making reservations at FantasyWorld, one of the leading Kissimmee Florida resorts. Your days are sure to be busy, but we offer plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy, including plenty of ways to relax after a full day at the theme parks. If you’re planning a trip and want to get through as many of the parks as possible, we have a great one-day itinerary for getting the most out of a trip to Disney World.

Ideally, plan to get there 30 minutes before opening to fit in more before the bigger crowds arrive. Start by focusing on Adventureland and beginning with the Jungle Cruise, one of the most popular attractions. While you still have your sea legs after the cruise, head next door for Pirates of the Caribbean.

Next it’s time to head to Haunted Mansion, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and It’s a Small World. Doing them in that order should hopefully get you in before the lines get really long. Then, head for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin if the wait is less than 30 minutes, followed by Space Mountain, making use of the standby line. The busier it gets the harder it might be to get to all of these before your lunch break. This is why it’s important to be there before the park opens.

For lunch, a great option is the Skipper Canteen. With a nice variety of items on the menu, paired with table service, it lets everyone unwind and enjoy a nice meal. Another nice option, though with a smaller menu, is found at Sleepy Hollow.

After lunch, when things start to heat up and the lines are really long, aim for some indoor entertainment. The Country Bear Jamboree and Enchanted Tiki Room are both great options to enjoy the AC and a fun show.

At 3 pm, be sure to check out the Festival of Fantasy parade. Kids and adults will enjoy this one, with fascinating characters and great music. It starts in Frontierland, where the view is less crowded, however if you’re particularly interested in getting some nice photos, the area around Main Street and Cinderella’s Castle offer the best visuals.

Depending on how everyone is feeling, you may want to get some snacks and then head home. However, if everyone still has the energy, you can head to Fantasyland for Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Under the Sea, Mad Tea Party, and Peter Pan’s Flight. These are hugely popular attractions, so they’re usually going to have long lines, no matter when you go. If you go in the late afternoon/early evening the lines might be shorter. As evening rolls around, head to Tomorrowland, which really pops at night with the lights. The PeopleMover and Astro Orbiter are great attractions to take in while you’re there.

If you’re sticking around for dinner, Columbia Harvest House is an excellent choice, especially with the upstairs dining. Then take in the evening fireworks. When the park officially closes, you’ll find that many of the stores remain open for around an hour, making a great time to pick up souvenirs. As you head out, on your way back to FantasyWorld, an ideal Kissimmee FL resort, take in the ambiance of a more peaceful Disney World and start planning your next trip!
