Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World

If you’re looking for something special, sweet and a little different for this Valentine’s Day, consider spending it at Walt Disney World with the romantic duo of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Obviously, you’ll find plenty of Valentine-themed merchandise from shirts to dolls to specialty ears and much more. The Ganachery, Goofy’s Candy Company, and Amorette’s Patisserie are among the many stores with delicious sweet treats that include chocolate covered strawberries, gift boxes of exotic and amazing chocolates, and Disney character-themed pastries. Vivoli il Gelato even has “The Love Potion” float: vanilla gelato, strawberry Fanta, and whipped cream.

When you’re in love, your heart often feels like it’s soaring, so why not try a hot air balloon ride at the waterfront at Disney Springs. Characters in Flight will take you 400 ft. up in the air with an awe-inspiring 360-degree view of the entire Magic Kingdom and more. Flights take place between 8:30 a.m. and midnight (weather permitting) and last approximately 8-10 minutes. For a truly romantic trip, try to time it for sunset for a glorious finale.

Even if you don’t go for the balloon ride, that adrenaline rush from some of the rides is sure to remind you of your hearts beating faster for each other!

Valentine’s Day is often not that busy compared to some other holidays, so you may even be able to book a reservation at some of the restaurants that are open. Check ahead, as some are still closed, and others may need to be booked in advance. Still, there’s a great chance to try to have a romantic meal, perhaps visited by Beauty and the Beast!
