Independence Day in Central Florida! July 4th Celebrations
Will you be staying at an Orlando vacation condo rental over the July 4th holiday? You’ll want to know where the best Independence Day celebrations are so you can observe the nation’s birthday:
Red Hot & Boom! July 3, 4-11 p.m. Why wait until the fourth? This is a fireworks show like none other, hosted by the city of Altamonte Springs in Cranes Roost Park (next to the Altamonte Mall). Festivities include food, games, live music from some of today’s hottest stars, and a fireworks display that will keep your jaw to the floor. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m., but come early, because this is one of Central Florida’s most popular annual events. No pets, personal fireworks, or coolers.
Fireworks at the Fountain, July 4, 4-10 p.m. This is a patriotic celebration of food, fun and fanfare at Orlando’s Lake Eola Park in downtown. Come early to enjoy the street vendors, swan boat rides, entertainment and the city’s centerpiece: The Lake Eola Fountain, which recently underwent a $1.6 million restoration. Fireworks start at 9:20 p.m.
Star Spangled Sanford, July 4, on the Sanford Riverwalk. Entertainment begins at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9:15 p.m. The event features live music, a game zone for adults and kids, and a splash pad that will be open until 8 p.m. No personal fireworks or coolers; no pets after 7 p.m.
Red Hot & Boom, Fireworks at the Fountain, and Star Spangled Sanford are all free and easy to get to from your Orlando vacation condo rental.
Of course, the major theme parks all have spectacular July 4th events with fireworks displays included in the price of admission. Walt Disney World Resort will have special Independence Day celebrations in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. SeaWorld of Orlando will feature a spectacular fireworks display. If you’re up for the drive from your Orlando vacation condo rental to Tampa, you could check out the Independence Day celebrations on July 3 and 4 at Busch Gardens Tampa.
